She shoots, she scores! I love hockey. I adore every aspect of it. I cherish it soooo much that I have chosen to do my indenpendant assignment about it! The reason why I chose this subject was because I already know so much about it, but I never really questioned the math behind it all, and i guess that's what that has friven me to chose hockey!

If you really think about it, hockey is all about math; the angle you shoot at, the speed you're skating at, how fast your shot goes, the plays you do in your opponents zone, the accuracy of your shot, your statistics and the list goes on.

There is so much to learn about the math behind hockey and I am planning to discover everything I can!

Growing up, my mom has always been the one to help me with my math homework.

Now many of you might think "why is she telling us this", the reason why is that ever since i've started learning about math, i've always asked myself why she was so darn good at it.

If you knew my mom, you would most likely answer with " it's because shes asian".

I've never really listened to the stereotypical straight A asian student label people usually go with, because I don't even get straight A's and i'm asian, so I've decided that that stereotype is ridiculous.

However, I was surfing on the web and found this...

Now if you feel proud and solved the first equation faster than you did the second, go back and read the titles of each image. I guess I was wrong about the stereotype; let it be math, science or anything else inbetween, asian will one day take over!

ahahah .. this was a little rant about what i felt, hopefully it didn't bore anyone too much!
